Dewey Lenard Venable

Dewey L. Venable was born on December 30, 1958 in Omaha, Nebraska to Robert G. Venable Jr. and Ann Venable.

He went to various elementary schools, later earning his high school diploma and a degree in Culinary Arts.

He was a loving, caring son, brother, father, uncle and friend to many.

He loved to gamble, play cards, chess, dominoes, shoot pool, poker, and work out. He also loved to cook. His favorite meal to cook was breakfast. His nephew Tony said that his uncle was always "down for a lick" (whatever that means). Most of all, Dewey will be known as our protector. He always had our back.

Dewey was preceded in death by his parents, Robert G. Venable Jr and Ann Venable (Jesse) Jones; two daughters, Jamie Lynn Spivey and Miracle Ann Pittman; brother, Robert (Ronnie) Venable.

He leaves to cherish his memories one son, Dewey Edwards; five sisters, Annetta (Jesse) Isom, Cheryl (John) Greer, Carletta (Johnny Ray) Perry all of Omaha, Nebraska; and Veronica Venable, Donna Sue (Lee Jr) Johnson of Lansing, KS; two aunts, Sedell Wells, Priscilla (Alvin B Sr) Debro; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and special friend, Monique Smith.
