James R Schober

James R Schober, age 84, passed away peacefully at Methodist Hospital of Omaha early morning on January 19, 2021. He was born June 4, 1936 to Roy and Zelma (Wilson) Schober in Horton, KS.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

James is survived by his daughter, Catherine Conner(Bob); son, James H Schober(Lisa); their mother, Diane Leader; his grandchildren, Derek and Elias Frazer; brother, Raymond Schober; longtime companion, Sue Kineen.

Jim was a retired battalion chief for the Omaha Fire Department. He also was an avid wood carver, wood turner, and Harley rider. You may have known James as Jim, Fireman Jim, Dago, Santa Claus, or Old Man, to name a few.
Visitation only will be held at Good Shepherd from 2:00 - 4:00 PM on Friday, January 22, 2021.
