Addie Lee Bland

Addie Lee Bland “Pudding” age 93. Went to glory on August 4, 2025.

Addie was a kind and caring women. She always had time to listen and talk with you and welcome you in, but did stand for NO NONSENSE.

She was born on January 29, 1933, in Texarkana, Arkansas. She was one of eight children. There were 3 boys and 5 girls. She came to Omaha in the 60’s to be with her siblings and to find steady work. She was a hard working mother in the House Keeping Industry. She had 4 beautiful children: Howard Nathaniel Bland, Mary Helen “Betty” Bland, Ernestine “Teeny” Hill and Kimberly “Kim” Bland.

She fought a good fight and peacefully passed away on August 4, 2025. Surrounded by all her children, grandchildren and all who loved her.

Addie was preceded in death by her Parent, Bill Bailey and Darthulia Bland, her Brothers KC, AJ, and TP Bland, her Sisters, Jessie B Robertson, Mary Lee, and Bertha Jean Flowers, he Daughter Mary Helen “Betty” Bland .

She is survived by her Loving Children, Howard Nathaniel Bland, Ernestine and Husband Anthony Hill and Kimberly Bland, Grandchildren Marvin Bland, Michaela Bland, Lionele Bland and her only living Sister Pnkey M. Thompson.

Addie also leaves behind her Beloved grandchildren, great grand children and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other cherished relatives and friends.

Services will be held on Wednesday (8/13/2025) at Good Shepherd Funeral Home - 90th Street Chapel. Visitation is from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM with Funeral Service at 1:00 PM. Services will be livestreamed below.
