Sam Ganarajah

Ajith Sanjeev “Sam” Ganarajah (1964-2025) Passed away on November 15, 2025, in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 61. Sanjeev was the beloved husband of Deborah; loving father of Josh and Alec; and caring stepfather of Stephanie and Aaron. He was the cherished son of the late Thiyagarajah and Moon Ganarajah, devoted big brother of Anusha, and the late Shashi, brother-in-law to Sufi Ismail, and a much loved uncle to Nadia, Ilana and Luna.

Born in Sri Lanka and educated at Wesley College, where he excelled both academically and in sports, Sanjeev moved to the United States in the mid 1980s. A man of few words, but profound kindness, He lived with quiet strength, deep faith, and unwavering concern for others. Gentle, calm and gracious, he appreciated every kindness and offered even more in return. Sanjeev leaves behind a legacy of humility, faith and steady love. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.
