Alfred LaMontia

Alfred "Al" or “Fred” Joseph LaMontia Age 87 of Omaha, Nebraska passed away surrounded by his loving family on May 23, 2025. He was born on January 9, 1938, in Omaha, Nebraska to John and Virginia (Alessandro) LaMontia. He was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 59 years, Marilyn (2024); parents and brother, Anthony LaMontia.

Al was a life-long salesman who never met a stranger. He made many friends over the years and would run into someone he knew no matter where he went. After retirement, Al opened an upholstery shop in his garage where he was able to craft beautiful pieces and hot rod interiors for family and friends. He loved buying, fixing up and showing his many hot rods, both with his “hot rod” friends and family.

Al loved hunting in the fall and especially loved his bi-annual fishing trips with “the guys” to Canada.

Al is survived by his loving family; daughter, Jennifer and husband Bobby Clark; son, John and wife Kristen LaMontia, grandchildren; Enzo and wife Akangkha, Joey, Vinny, Cecelia, Ashtin and husband Kyle, Zach; great-grandchildren, Carson, Graham and Rumi, and many family and friends. A Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, June 5, 2025, 10 a.m. at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church, 1248 S. 10th St. Omaha, Nebraska. Celebration of Life Luncheon will follow across the street at Son’s of Italy Hall 1238 S. 10th St.

*Family requests you drive your hot rod to the service, there will be special parking at Sons of Italy Hall in the front parking lot. Private Interment for family will be held at a later date.
