Andrew Anthony Malechek

Andrew Anthony "Tony" Malechek passed away October 26, 2026, in Valley, Nebraska at the age of 77 years. He was born June 15, 1949, in Richmond, Virginia.

Tony is preceded in death by his mother, Annie W. Malechek, his father, Phillip J. Malechek, as well as his brother, Stanley E. Malechek.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Dorothy M. Malechek, children; Pamela Malechek Boltz, Steven A. Malechek, Diana Malechek Meadors and her significant other John Russell, grandchildren; Kelsey Boltz, LillyAnn Malechek, Grant Malechek, Steven Malechek Jr., Justice Bruce and Jaxon Russell; a great grandchild and many other loving family and friends.

Tony will be remembered for his sweet and caring nature. He loved and cherished time with his family so much. He loved being a husband, a proud dad, and a devoted granddad (known as Poppy or Pop Pop). His roots were in Virginia, where he grew up and worked in the Retail/Sales industry for many years. He loved being around people and was always willing to connect and converse and help people out. He was an avid gardener and had many beautiful and plentiful gardens over the years. He loved watching football and old westerns, as well as traveling and going to the beach. He also enjoyed going hunting. Being a Veteran, he was proud that he was able to serve his country in the Vietnam War as a Marine. Semper Fi.

A small family graveside service, to include military honors, will take place on Monday, November 2, 2026, at 2:30pm, at the National Cemetery in Omaha, Nebraska.
