Angela Caroline Pfeiffer

November 24, 1963 — April 28, 2022

After a five-month courageous battle with glioblastoma, Angela (Angie)
Caroline Schulz Pfeiffer passed away on April 28, 2022. Angie was born on
November 24, 1963, in Wayne to Don V. and Sandra Kay (Witmer) Schulz.
She graduated from Wayne-Carroll High School in 1982. She received her
Registered Nurse Diploma from St. Luke's College in 1986; her bachelor's
degree in Nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1993;
and her master's degree in Nursing from Winona State University, which
focused on the Clinical Nurse Specialist area in 2000.

She was baptized, confirmed, and married the love of her life, Todd
Pfeiffer, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Wayne on November 28, 1992.
She and Todd have one daughter, Cassandra (Cassie) Marie, who she
adored, cherished, and loved.

Angie was active in 4-H while growing up in Wayne and received many
first-place awards showing lambs and sheep. She enjoyed all aspects of
living on the farm south of Wayne. She played guitar and was lead singer in
the area band, Black Pearl.

Angie worked at St. Luke's Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa; The Queen's
Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii; University of California, Irvine;
Saddleback Memorial Medical Center in Laguna Hills, California; Desert
Hospital and Desert Cardiac Surgery Associates in Palm Springs, California;
Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota; and at Methodist Hospital and CHI
Health in Omaha, Nebraska.

Her various titles include Clinical Nurse Specialist, Service Leader, Heart
Failure Coordinator, Cardiac Liaison Nurse, Nurse Coordinator of Cardiac
Services, Cardiology Administrative Coordinator, Researcher, Consultant,
and Educator. She received the Omaha Magazine's Excellence Award in
Orthopedics in 2015. She was a published author in the American Journal of
Medicine.

Angie surrounded herself with the color purple. She was an excellent cook
and baker. She loved all animals, and one day, had hoped to open a dog
rescue.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Millard, was active in
Go Red for Women and helped with the Red Cross Mobile Blood Drive
Unit.

She treasured her time with Todd and Cassie and her family and friends
and loved to travel and take in new sights and adventures at every
destination. She liked discovering new wineries and restaurants in our area.
She enjoyed watching Cassie in her athletic events and was her biggest
supporter.

Angie is survived by her husband, Todd; her daughter, Cassandra (Cassie)
Marie; her sister, Tammie Rose (Paul) Phillips of Omaha; brother, Jason
Harry Schulz of Wayne; sister-in-law, Carolyn (Mike) Beiermann of Wayne;
brothers-in-law, Bob (Karen) Pfeiffer of Omaha; Terry (Kathy) Pfeiffer of
Omaha; Tim (Kathi) Pfeiffer of Phoenix, Arizona; Uncle Vern Schulz of
Wayne; Aunts Penny (Rick) Urwiler of Lincoln; Marcia (Darcell) Adams of
Iowa City, Iowa; 13 nieces and nephews; 10 first cousins, and many other
second and third cousins, great nieces and nephews, and her dogs, Pearl and
Mazie.

Angie was preceded in death by her parents, Don V. and Sandra Kay
(Witmer) Schulz, her in-laws, Don and Marie (Kraft) Pfeiffer, grandparents,
Harry and Rose (Daum) Schulz, George and Caroline (Koopman) Witmer,
aunt Dolores Schulz, aunt and uncle, Pat and Bill Gamble, and her dogs,
Oscar, Emmy, Fritz, and Casper.

Memorials may be directed to the Pfeiffer family for later designation.
