Betty Ashford

Betty Jean Ashford. Sunrise March 1, 1934, Sunset May 9, 2024.   She was born to Juanita (nee'Kimbrough) and Herschel Pendleton of Omaha Ne.   She is survived  by her children Dianne, Steven(Annette), Timothy of Omaha Ne and Michael (Ruth)  of Toledo OH. 4 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren. Sister, Shirley Johnson of Denver, Co. Brother-in-Law Billy Ashford of Minneapolis Mn and Dear Friend of 76 years, Mrs. Willa Jean Midder; a host of relatives such as nieces, nephews, cousins, and more. 

Betty attended St. Benedict elementary school and later on in life earned an Associate Degree. In 1955, Betty married Oscar Ashford and they raised four children. 

Oscar passed away unexpectedly in 1972 , leaving Betty the matriarch of a young family. In addition to raising a young family , Betty was a devoted member of St. Benedict church for over 80 plus years.

Funeral Services will be held on May 31, 2024 at 10:30 am St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Church 2423 Grant St Omaha Ne 68111. Food and refreshments will be after services in the lower level of the church. Served and organized by St. Benedict's Womens Society Club in which Betty was a member.
