Beverly Ann Zoll (Barnes), 84, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026. She was born on February 17, 1942, in Iowa City, Iowa.

One of eleven siblings, Beverly was raised on a farm in Iowa during the Depression. She fondly referred to herself and her brothers and sisters as "free-range children," recalling a childhood filled with hard work, adventure, and treasured family memories.

Beverly dedicated 35 years to caring for others through her work in food service, serving 32 years at Immanuel Hospital and 3 years at Bergan Mercy Hospital before retiring in 2011. She was loved by her coworkers and patients alike. Her warm smile, kind heart, and genuine love for people allowed her to make friends wherever she went.

She was a talented quilter who lovingly handcrafted beautiful quilts for many family members-gifts that will be treasured for generations. Beverly also found great joy in nature, creating beautiful flower gardens that reflected her appreciation for the outdoors.

She enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, and birdwatching. Above all, Beverly cherished her family. She delighted in creating special memories, going on adventures through the woods, visiting her childhood family farm, exploring the Loess Hills, and baking birthday cakes for her grandchildren.

Beverly was preceded in death by her beloved son, Barry Edward Zoll; grandsons, David Barr and Jerred Zoll; her parents, Edward Earl Barnes and Marguerite Laverne Michael Barnes; her brother, Willis "Bill" Barnes; and her sisters, Betty Butcher, Gladys Gardener, Joan Williams, Marian Seidel, Donna Droegemeier, and Carole Barnes.

She is survived by her daughters, Diana Rice of Surprise, Arizona; Mary Barr and her husband, Darrin; and Jennifer Everhart of Omaha, Nebraska; her son, Mark Zoll and his wife, Christy, of Thornton, Colorado; her sisters, Shirley Cullifer of Norfolk, Virginia and Bonnie Worley of Council Bluffs, Iowa; brother, Norman Barnes and his wife, Chris, of Omaha, Nebraska; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
Beverly will be remembered for her generous heart, her love of family, her gift for making people feel welcome, and the many happy memories she created with those she loved. Her warmth, laughter, and kindness will be deeply missed, but the love she shared and the memories she leaves behind will remain with her family and friends always.

There will be no memorial service as per her wishes.
