Billy Ray Button

Bill "Wild Bill" Button, 69, of Omaha, NE, passed away peacefully at home on May 28th, 2026.

Born on November 27th, 1956, in Fontana, CA, to Marvin and Roberta Button. He graduated from Bloomington High School and went on to have a career as an aircraft mechanic in the United States Air Force.

Bill was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, as well as an extremely talented musician and avid Hot Wheels collector.

He is survived by his daughters, Megan O'Connor (Chris) and Sara Button; his 7 grandchildren, Gavin Henry, Raistlin O'Connor, Christopher O'Connor Jr., Aiden O'Connor, Jasmine O'Connor, Jacob Kurtenbach, and Justin Kurtenbach; and his brothers, Ronald and Gary. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin & Roberta, as well as his wife, Nancy Button.

A celebration of life will be held on June 10th, 2026, from 5:00 pm - 9:30 pm. Please contact the family for location details. All who knew Bill are welcome to attend and celebrate his life. He will be placed to rest in a private service at the Omaha National Cemetery on June 11th, 2026.
