Bob "Bobby" Leo Allen

October 25, 1952 — August 27, 2022

Bob Leo Allen "Bobby" was born October 25th, 1952, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Mable (Allen) LeFlore. Along his mother's side, Bobby and his siblings were blessed with being raised by a truly wonderful stepfather, Kay Willard LeFlore. After a strenuous battle with lung cancer, Bobby passed peacefully, in his sleep, on Saturday, August, 27th, 2022.

Bobby graduated from North High School in 1970. He went on to attend Nettleton Business College for a short time. Then embarked on a long career as an Engineer with the US Army Corp of Engineers. Bobby was also very active and loved sports. So much so, that when he was not working, he spent time refereeing girls and boys in youth league activities in Omaha and surrounding areas.

Once retired from the US Army Corp of Engineers, Bobby began living a life of leisure; enjoying his favorite activities and hobbies. This included various board games, namely chess. And most certainly included his top favorite and first love, which was playing pool. This was so much his favorite activity, that he highly considered his pool table one of his most prized and treasured possessions. And this showed as hanging out in his rec room and playing pool was the number one activity when he would entertain. Which allowed him another thing he loved to do which was inviting friends over to hang out.

Bobby became a member of the Omaha Boys Club when it opened in 1963. He credited the Boys Club for helping him stay on the straight and narrow path. He would say, "The Boys Club saved me. It was a place to go and kept me off the streets." During his time at the Boys Club, he won numerous awards for various activities, including basketball, swimming, and (of course) pool. During his active years with the Boys Club, he created many life-long friendships that carried throughout his entire life. And, over the course of his life, Bobby continued to be actively involved as a current member of the Boys Club Alumni.

Bobby was predeceased by his parents Mable and Kay LeFlore, brother Tony L. Allen, and sister Sherri "Snazzy" Allen.

Bobby is survived by daughter, Tylonda L. Sanders, of Omaha, NE; sons, Anthony Allen Johnson, Jamar Allen Bass, both of Omaha, NE. Two granddaughters, of Omaha NE. Siblings: Terri L. Allen of Arlington, TX; Glenda K. Allen of Omaha, NE; Deloris McNair of Las Vegas, NV; Rodney E. Allen of Indianapolis, IN; Almetra R. Meadows of Mesquite, TX; Rosaline L. Clark of Omaha, NE; Brother-in-Law Michael Clark of Omaha, NE. Step-Siblings: Sandy Anderson (Odie), Kay LeFlore (Monica), Herschell LeFlore (Judy), Mark LeFlore (Floretta), Reggie LeFlore (Francis), Perschell Brown, Terry LeFlore, Serena LeFlore, Dereke LeFlore (Gloria). And a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Bobby was a head-strong spirit. In good (and not so good) times he will always be Remembered, Missed and Loved.
