Brenda Gertrude Bryant (Plummer)

Brenda was born in New Orleans, LA and raised in Sioux City, IA. She moved to Omaha, NE in 1988 where she remained until her death after a courageous battle with cancer.

Brenda was preceded in death by father, Lawrence Plummer Sr; brothers Melvin Plummer and Abraham Parmelee; son, Royal Bryant; great-granddaughter, Christiana Bryant and grandmother, Gertrude Polk.

Brenda leaves behind her partner of almost 30 years, Samuel McLaurin; daughter, Patrice Baldwin of Omaha, NE; two sons, Brian Henderson and Glen Bryant of Sioux City, IA; five brothers, Lawrence Plummer Jr of Minneapolis, MN, Mondale Plummer of Denver, CO and Phillip Plummer, and Nate and Church Parmelee all of Sioux City, IA; five sisters, Shirley Dowd, Jenell Mosley, Linda Plummer and Patty Parmelee all of Sioux City, IA and Cheryl Sully of Minneapolis, MN; her mother, Shirley Mae Plummer of Sioux City, IA; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Brenda was a loving mother, sister, daughter and partner who always put everyone's needs before her own. She will be forever in our hearts.

Visitation, Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 5-7pm and Funeral Service Friday, May 12, 2017 at 12 noon. Both at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Interment at Mt Hope Cemetery.
