Cadence P. Winters passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023 in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 16 years. She was born November 2, 2006 in Omaha.
Cadence was an active member in her church, fierce friend, and loving older sister. Anyone who knew her knew if you were lucky enough for her to call you a friend, you would have a friend for life. She spent much of her time growing up traveling to Arizona to spend time with her Great Grandfather feeding bunnies and enjoying the Arizona scenery. Her dream was to move to Arizona to purse a career in the FBI, all thanks to Criminal Minds. She loved Dodge trucks, Stitch, and her favorite place was the pedestrian bridge, where she spent many evenings.
Cadence could always be found with friends, cooking with her mother Amber or bullshitting her father Spencer. She was a great sounding board for her siblings and a great mediator. The world will be dimmer without the light that is Cadence.
Cadence is preceded in death by her great-grandparents Harold and Patricia Winters and Vivian D. Chapin and RB "Bud" Chapin; and great-aunt Cindy Akins.
She is survived by her parents Spencer Perez and Amber Winters; siblings Amber Parkins, Khristian Parkins, Bella Parkins, DJ Winters, Dylan Parkins, Zelie Sheard, and Harper Sheard; grandparents Elaine Chapin, James Winters, Michelle Perez, and Mark Perez and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family and friends.
VISITATION Friday, March 10, from 5-7pm at Good Shepherd Funeral Home - L Street Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICE Saturday, March 11, at 10am at Messiah Lutheran Church (5015 S 80th St). Interment at Anderson Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
