Carol Joyce Andrews Horsens

Carol Joyce Horsens, a beloved member of the Kennard community, passed away on August 22, 2024, at the age of 88. Born on August 31, 1935, in Omaha, NE, Carol was a caring and dedicated individual loved by all who knew her.

Carol dedicated her life to her family, and as the children reached adulthood, a second career as a Para Professional in the Omaha Public Schools Headstart program, making a lasting impact on many students and colleagues Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard F. Horsens, her parents Paul & Jaynet Andrews, and her son, Vincent Horsens.

Her memory will be cherished by her children, Carie Smith (Jim), Frances Hartge (Randy), Christine Grogan (Mike), Sandra Dresser (Robert), along with her 8 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Carol leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and resilience that will be remembered by all who knew her. Carol Joyce Horsens may have left this world, but her spirit and love will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace.
