Cecil Lee Baucom

November 2, 1968 — June 13, 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Cecil "Lee" Baucom, who died on June 13th 2026 at the age of 57 in Council Bluffs Iowa.

Lee was born on November 2nd in Hamburg Iowa to Cecil "Leroy" Baucom and Linda Parham. He spent his childhood in Thurman IA, Nebraska City Ne, Omaha Ne, and Washington state, he spent his adult life in Tabor, IA, Council Bluffs, IA, Harlan, IA, Pine Bluffs, Wy and Emerson, IA, yet he continually returned to and has always considered, Pacific Junction, IA, his home.

Lee was a devoted father, brother, grandfather, and friend who found his greatest joy in the people he loved. He treasured time spent with family and friends, creating memories that will be cherished for years to come. Lee will be remembered for many things throughout his life-his kind heart, his sense of humor, and the passions that brought him happiness. He had a deep appreciation for eagles and a fascination with fish, whether caring for them in an tank or numerous tanks to casting a line at a favorite fishing spot, and a love for cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs. Some of his happiest moments were spent gathered around a bonfire, surrounded by those he cared about most, sharing stories, and the goofiest laugh you will hear every time you think of him. His presence brought comfort and joy to so many, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Lee is survived by his loving wife, Teresa; his children, Amber, Jeff, Kayla, Shelbee, Shelby, Josh, Jessica, Patrick, Ashley, and Megan; and his siblings, Tom Buller, Dorothy Baucom, and Debra Baucom. He also leaves behind many beloved grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory. Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Linda, his stepfather Joseph Buller and his beloved granddaughter, Kaylee and his furever friend Lee's Little Lady. While their time apart was far too long, we find comfort in knowing they have been reunited once again.

A celebration of life will be held on July 3rd 2026 in Pacific Junction at 401 Gleason Avenue. It'll be an all day event, Potluck Meal at 6pm. Friends and family are invited to attend, bring a dish if you may and celebrate his life while sharing all the good memories end with a firework show after dusk.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the GoFund Me page that has been set up.

Lee will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
