Cecil Raleigh Ballain

Cecil Ballain, age 67, passed away peacefully September 24, 2022 in Shenandoah, Iowa. He was born July 5, 1955 to Charles and Florence (Goodman) Ballain in Navasota, TX. Cecil spent most of his life in the Omaha and Council Bluffs area and worked for a moving and roofing company before settling in Shenandoah, Iowa. He enjoyed fishing and shooting his gun.

He was preceded in death by father, Charles Ballain; mother, Florence Ballain; children Misty, Jessica, and Jeremy; brother Mark Ballain, Roy Dale Ballain; and sister Rebecca Ballain Frieze, and Cynthia Barnhart Ballain.

Cecil is survived by his children Josh Ballain, Melissa Ballain, Jason Gibson, Krystal Ballain; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers Anthony Ballain, Robert Ballain, and Rodney Ballain; sister Christine Vanthrin Ballain; nieces, nephews, and other family.

GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS Saturday, October 8 from 2-4pm with MILITARY HONORS at 3pm at Forest Park Manor (707 W Summit Ave, Shenandoah, IA 51601). Memorials may be directed to the family.
