Charles is preceded in death by his parents; brother Alvin L. Gitchel; and sisters Ruth L. Gitchel; and Mary Housman.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Audrey Gitchel; children Dale (Laura Cardwell) Vanderpool, Charles (Mary) Gitchel, Cheri (Pito) Gariboy, Chico Barnard, Chris Barnard, and Michelle Smith; 10 grandchildren; brother Darrel Gitchel; sister Donna Cooper; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family.
