With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well lived, we celebrate the life of our beloved Cheryl Johnson, who peacefully entered eternal rest on July 2, 2026, at the age of 62.
Born in Omaha, Nebraska, Cheryl was a woman whose life was defined by love, compassion, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was the heart of her family the one who brought everyone together, checked on those she loved, remembered the little things, and made sure no one ever felt alone. Her warmth, infectious smile, and generous spirit left a lasting impression on everyone blessed to know her.
Cheryl possessed a quiet strength that carried her through life’s challenges with grace and resilience. She worked diligently throughout her life and believed in caring for others, often putting their needs before her own. She found joy in playing basketball, where her competitive spirit and determination shined, but her greatest joy was found in the love of her family.
Being a mother and “Gigi” was Cheryl’s greatest accomplishment and deepest source of pride. She poured her heart into raising her children Ambyr Frazier, Darian Frazier, and Deja McIntosh and cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, Aubrey Herron, Traye Herron Jr., Aiya Fall, and her granddaughter by love, Royal Johnson. They were the light of her life, and her unconditional love will continue to surround them always.
Cheryl also leaves to cherish her memory her devoted partner, Louis Frazier; step son, Louis Sherrod, her loving sisters, L’Tanya Crowder, Krystl Williams, Michelle Johnson, and Lisa Jones; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever remember her kindness, laughter, wisdom, and unwavering love.
She was welcomed into Heaven by her beloved parents, Lee and Rosetta Johnson; her brother, Van Johnson; and her cherished nephews, Jerry Cribbs and Kameron Trotter.
While our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in knowing that Cheryl’s love lives on in every life she touched. Her compassion, generosity, laughter, and unwavering love for her family will never be forgotten. She leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her legacy is one of unconditional love, unwavering faith, generosity, and family. She showed us that love is measured not by words alone but by the countless acts of kindness shared each day.
As we say goodbye, we do not say farewell forever. We find comfort in God’s promise that we will meet again.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7
