Cheyenne Anthony La Mere "Sunka Wakan Sa Hoksida" passed away March 8, 2026 in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 44 years. He was born September 6, 1981 in Omaha.

Cheyenne is preceded in death by his biological mother Judith La Mere; mother Anna La Mere - Perez; and sister Tammy Blacksmith.

He is survived by his siblings Kim La Mere, Holly La Mere, Ryan La Mere, Celia La Mere, Josiah La Mere, and Irene Warner and Carmichael Pappan; aunts Laura La Mere - Country and Grace La Mere - Mantich; uncles Jack La Mere, Fred La Mere, and Terry La Mere; and nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends.

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well lived, we remember a truly loving soul whose kindness touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. Cheyenne's presence brought warmth, compassion, and comfort to family, friends, and even strangers who crossed his path.

He lived a life guided by love, generosity, and quiet strength. Whether offering a listening ear, sharing laughter, or lending a helping hand, Cheyenne had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and cared for. His heart was open to all, and their spirit reflected the beauty of genuine kindness.

To those closest to him, Cheyenne were a source of unconditional love and unwavering support. He cherished time spent with family and friends, finding joy in the simple moments that often meant the most. Cheyenne's legacy will live on through the memories he created, the lives he uplifted, and the love he freely gave.

Though Cheyenne are no longer with us in body, his spirit remains in every act of kindness inspired by his life. His love he shared will continue to echo in the hearts of all who knew him.
