Clarence Edward Smith Jr.

Clarence “Stonnie” Smith was born on August 9, 1963. On August 10, 2026, just one day after celebrating his 63rd birthday, Stonnie transitioned from this earthly life and went home to be with the Lord.

Stonnie was a kindhearted and amazing man whose love for his family was evident in everything he did. He was generous, loyal, protective, and always willing to do anything he could for the people he loved. If someone he cared about needed him, Stonnie was there. His presence brought comfort, his love brought security, and his unforgettable personality touched the lives of everyone blessed to know him.

Stonnie treasured his family and shared a particularly close bond with his sister, Sho Shann, whom he lovingly called “Dae Dae.”

Stonnie also had a personal relationship with God and found joy and strength in studying his word. His family takes comfort in knowing that he is now resting in the loving arms of his Heavenly Father.

Stonnie leaves to cherish his precious memory his sons, Joshua Hayden and Frank Saunsoci; his daughter, Amber Clapper; his loving siblings, all of Omaha, Philip, Gracie, Charles “Chucky” and Sho Shann “Dae Dae” Smith; and a host of loving relatives and dear friends whose lives were forever enriched by his love and presence.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Patricia Smith; his daughter, Janae Hadan; and his siblings, Darrel, Jimmy, Sherri, Mary, and Markita Smith.

Stonnie’s passing has left an immeasurable emptiness in the hearts of those who loved him. Although his family will miss him more than words could ever express, they will forever treasure the love he gave, the memories they shared, and the special moments that made him unforgettable.

Stonnie will be deeply and terribly missed, but his love, kindness, and beautiful spirit will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever. His life was a blessing, his memory will always be treasured, and his love will never be forgotten.

Rest peacefully, Stone, until we meet again. 

Services will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 3809 N 90th Street, Omaha NE 68134. Visitation from 1:00 - 2:00 PM with Funeral Service at 2:00 PM. A Repass will follow the service in the Good Shepherd Reception Hall.Complete notice is pending.
