Obituary for Connor Joseph O'Neil

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Connor Joseph O'Neil, who left us on April 3rd, 2026. Connor was a truly kind-hearted soul whose love for his family and friends knew no bounds.

Connor had a way of making everyone feel important, valued, and cared for. His heart was bigger than most, and he gave that love freely to those around him. He cherished his friendships deeply and loved his family with everything he had.

He will always be remembered for the joy he found on the baseball field. As a talented pitcher, one of his proudest moments came on his 13th birthday, when he threw an unforgettable 13-strikeout game-something he carried with pride and that those who knew him will never forget. His love for the game stayed with him throughout his life, along with his loyalty to the New York Yankees.

Outside of baseball, Connor found peace and happiness in the simple things, especially fishing-spending quiet moments by the water, reflecting, laughing, and just being himself.

Though he struggled with addiction, it never defined the man he truly was. At his core, he was compassionate, loving, and deeply human-a person who felt everything fully and cared more than most. His life reminds us to lead with kindness, to love without hesitation, and to hold on tightly to the people who matter most.

Connor was preceded in death by his loving parents, Mary Ann O'Neil and Terrence O'Neil.

He is survived by his siblings: Shawn (Candice) O'Neil, Kevin (Sara) O'Neil, Timothy (Lindsay) O'Neil, Keara (Jill) O'Neil, Molly (Sam) Bridges, Thomas (Melissa) O'Neil, Monica O'Neil, and Clare O'Neil; his cherished nieces and nephews, Nolan, Madison, Easton, Berklie, Finley, Emersyn, Elizabeth, Elias, Elliott, and Aubrey; and many loving friends who were like family.

While our hearts are broken, we find peace in knowing he is reunited with his mom and dad, and that he is now at rest.

Forever loved. Never forgotten.
