Daniel Benjamin Stewart Age 84 of Omaha, Nebraska passed away peacefully at home on August 19, 2025. Danny B was born in Raleigh, North Carolina on March 24, 1941 and was raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Daniel was a veteran of the US Marines. For 51 years he was married to Leler Pearl (Smiley) Stewart. (1947~2022).

"Suga Boi" was patriarch of a massive, brilliant, talented and beautiful American family that stretches around the globe. He leaves a legacy of iron will and boundless generosity.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Leler (2022); parents, Eva (Ellison) Stewart and Dallas Delma Stewart; siblings, Kristine Stewart, Randolph Stewart, Dallas Stewart-Sanders and Douglas Stewart.

Daniel is survived by his children, Kenneth Fitzgerald Stewart, Lovely Danisha (Stewart) Taylor, Russell Taylor; grandchildren, Mercer Epps-Stewart and Amora Taylor; siblings, Pauline Gore, Murray Stewart, Carldine Stewart, Bernard Stewart, Matilda Ellis, Aaron Stewart and Nathaniel Stewart. He is loved by a host of family, friends, loved ones, godchildren, orphans who adopted him and became family, spiritual brothers, sisters, nephews, aunties and mothers.

Visitation will be 12:30 PM Monday, August 25, 2025 with the processional to Omaha National Cemetery at 1:30 PM.

Interment with military honors at Omaha National Cemetery at 2:30 PM, Monday, August 25th.

Repast will be held at the family home, 7115 Mormon Bridge Rd. Omaha, Nebraska, 68152.
