Darnell Underwood

Darnell "Barney" Underwood was born on November 7, 1963, and peacefully passed away on January 14, 2026, at the age of 62. Darnell graduated from Northwest High School and attended US Job Corp.

Darnell was preceded in death by his father, Irvin Underwood, Jr., and his beloved grandson, D'Kari T. Hill.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving daughter, Darnese (Johnny) Crawford of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two bonus daughters, DeAmber Hullet and Renada Harrison; and his devoted mother, Florida Brown of Omaha, Nebraska. He is also survived by his sisters, Alesia Carter and Lynell Carter of Omaha, Nebraska; his brothers, Louis (Paulette) Carter and Bruce Centamore; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will miss him greatly.

Darnell will be remembered for the love he had for his family and the lasting impact he made on all who knew him. His memory will live on through the many lives he touched.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Fort Street Church of Christ, 5922 Fort Street, Omaha NE 68104.  There will be a Memorial Service at 11 AM.
