Darrell Pickel

Darrell D. Pickel passed away July 9, 2024 in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 69 years. He was born October 11, 1954 in Smith Center, Kansas.

Darrell was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved working on his truck, and building things. He started at Highline-Warren in Council Bluffs in 1990 where he originally worked on the floor of the plant, later being moved to maintenance where he finished his career of over 34 years with the company. 

Darrell is preceded in death by his parents, Coy and Dorothy Pickel; and early spouse Marie Jenkins.

He is survived by his fiance Kenya Williams; children Jodi Pickel, Richard Pickel, Charlie Pickel, and Eric Rickard; step-son Donnie Jenkins; brothers Dale Pickel and Don Pickel; sisters Darlene Merrill and Carolyn Fink; and nieces, nephews, and other family.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE Tuesday, July 16, from 2-4pm at Good Shepherd Funeral Home - L Street Chapel. Memorials may be directed to the family.
