David A. Nace III, lovingly known to friends and family as "Heavy D," passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025, at the age of 79.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David A. Nace II and Beth Stiles Nace, and his stepdaughter, Noel Waggoner Denholm.

David was married to his loving wife of 43 years, Linda M. Lacy Nace. He was the proud father of Sara J. Nace Guida (Stephen Sr.), Jeffrey David Nace (Maria), and stepson Joel Waggoner (Joanna). His heart and home were filled with the joy of his grandchildren, Samantha J. Guida, Stephen J. Guida II, Olivia Nace, Bianca Nace, and his step-grandchildren, Alyssa Landon (Cory), Travis Currier (Hayley), Chance Denholm, and Ayden Denholm, along with two step-great-grandchildren, Hudson and Hadley. He adored his grandchildren and delighted in every moment spent with them.

David served his country in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1969 and was honored with a recommendation to attend the United States Military Academy at West Point. Professionally, he was a skilled electrician, but his true passion was cars-he was a trusted car guru and loved sharing his knowledge with anyone who asked.

David will be remembered for his generosity, his love of family, his quick smile, and his unique ability to bring out the best in every car or project. He leaves behind a legacy of devotion, skill, and unwavering love that will continue to inspire his family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the VFW, 8904 Military Rd, Omaha, NE 68134. Friends and family are invited to drive their favorite cars and share stories to honor the life of Heavy D.
