Debra Ann Murphy

Debra Ann Murphy was born on November 20th, 1958. She was diagnosed with and battled Lung Cancer for nearly 10 years, being re-diagnosed at least 6 times during that period. She passed away peacefully on July 8th, 2026, with her hand held by her husband, Michael Murphy, of 41 years. She put up a good fight all throughout, but as with all battles each must come to an end one way or another.

While the cancer may have beaten her body, it did not possess her soul, which by faith was steadfastly held in trust by God Almighty and Jesus. She leaves behind her friend & husband of 43/41 years Michael Murphy and their two sons: Otto Rowell (Lori Scott) & Tony Rowell (Corrie Hyche). She leaves behind 9 grandchildren (Haley, Morgan, Cade, Brooke, Cheyenne, Khloe, Ethan, Robert, and Arryanna) and 4 great-grandchildren (Gavin, Tanner, Harper, and Violet.)

She is preceded in death by her father, Donald L. Goodell (1993), her mother, Marilyn (Collins, 2019), Chester Goodell (1992), her brother, Donald L. Goodell, Jr, (2017), and her sister, Crystal (Emmert, 2025.).

Debbie will forever be etched in my heart and mind as the most beautiful bride who ever had walked down the aisle.
