Donna Jenkins

August 11, 1955 — April 20, 2025

Donna Marie Jenkins (Cherek)

Donna Marie Jenkins, a vibrant and free-spirited woman, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 20th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born August 11, 1955, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Thomas and Joan Cherek, Donna shared her mother's birthday, a serendipitous start to a life filled with joy, resilience, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Donna was a spirited, big blue-eyed child. She was the third of seven children born to Thomas and Joan Cherek.

Donna graduated from Ralston High School in 1973, and she embraced the free spirit of the 1970s. She was fiercely independent and strong-willed, a true child of her era. Her life was marked by a love of music, people, travel, and a keen entrepreneurial spirit. Donna possessed a spirit that was both independent and compassionate, unrestricted in its joy and generosity. She was a loyal friend, a supportive family member, and a woman who lived life on her own terms.

Donna's greatest joy was her three daughters: Rochelle Lea Satrapa (born February 17, 1979), Edith Marie Cherek (deceased August 17, 1983), and Tisha Dawn Jenkins (born July 13, 1985). They were the center of her world, and she dedicated herself to providing them with a life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories – movie nights, handmade costumes, extravagant Christmases, and bountiful Thanksgiving feasts. She worked tirelessly to ensure her daughters wanted for nothing.

Donna faced life's challenges with unwavering determination and a positive spirit. She possessed an innate ability to overcome adversity and always found a way to make things happen. Her strength, kindness, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Donna was preceded in death by her daughter Edith Marie Cherek; Father Thomas T Cherek; Brothers Thomas T Cherek Jr; Dale A Cherek

Donna leaves to cherish her memory; Mother Joan Y Cherek; daughters, Rochelle L Satrapa; Tisha D Jenkins (Significant other Ray Cribbs Jr.); Grandchildren Andreus R. Ross Jr, Manus A. Ross, Dafineus L. Ross, Mia'Rae J. Cribbs, Araya D. Cribbs; Great Grandson (unborn). Brothers Ronald Cherek; Randy Cherek; Brian Cherek and Sister Joanne Blair and countless family/friends whose lives she touched. She will be remembered not only for her remarkable spirit but also for the enduring legacy of love she leaves behind.
