Donna R Rickels

Donna Rae Rickels passed away February 4, 2026 in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 83 years. She was born November 6, 1942 in Omaha.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents, William and Catherine Brumshagen; daughter Peggie Root and step-daughter Sara Moya.

She is survived by her husband, Rodney Rickels; daughter Bridget (Jeff) Thompson; step-children Richard (Réka) Rickels, Amybeth (Paul) Curtis, and Andy (Alli) Rickels; grandchildren Lizzy, Ryan, Brooke, Jaiden, Marissa, Nathan, David, Rachel, Benjamin, Henry, Lucy, Carter, Bence, and Seth; great-grandson Mateo; siblings Mary Kay Smith, Nancy (Chris) Robertson, and Bill (Joan) Brumshagen; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests memorials to VFW Post 2503 (8904 Military Road) and Maple Crest Health Center (2824 N 66th Ave).
