Doris L. Torres

Doris Lucile Torres, 92, of Elkhorn, Nebraska passed away holding her son’s hand on May 15, 2025. Born in Cheyenne, Wyoming on September 8, 1932. Doris is preceded in death by her son, Lester Martin. She is survived by her children, Barbara Martin, Dianna (Wayne) Irick, Edward Martin, Mike "Poncho" Martin, Robert (Connie) Martin; 12 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren and a host of other loving family and friends.

Doris will be remembered for her kindness and love for her family. Throughout her life, she faced many hardships, including the death of her youngest son. Doris drew strength and inspiration from her faith and her unwavering belief in God was a constant source of comfort and guidance for her. She always looked on the bright side of things, kept her sense of humor even during difficult times, and believed that having a positive attitude was the key to life.

Doris also lived a simple life and found great enjoyment in the small things. She appreciated the beauty of nature, found joy in spending time with loved ones, and took pleasure in the simple things. Her wisdom taught us to find happiness in the things that truly matter. Her laughter and precious voice were gifts to everyone who knew her. Though she may no longer be with us, her spirit will live on in so many ways.

Friends and family are invited to the Memorial Service at Good Shepherd Funeral Home - 90th Chapel on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 3:00 P.M.
