Dorothy Jean Nelson

Dorothy "Dottie" Nelson, 77, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away peacefully in her home on February 5, 2023, from pneumonia secondary to tongue cancer.

Dottie had fought cancer multiple times. She had great faith and was looking forward to rejoining her parents, LuVerne and Eleanor, and her sister Bettie, who had predeceased her. Dottie was a loving mother of four and grandmother of eight, and will be missed by all who knew her.

She was constantly finding ways to uplift others and bring joy to their life.

She also enjoyed singing in community and church choirs, playing trumpet, reading books, knitting, and making cross stitch.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 1 PM March 18th at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 11027 Martha St., Omaha, Nebraska.
