Douglas Peter Diggins

September 12, 1966 — March 31, 2023

Douglas was born in Omaha, Nebraska on September 12, 1966 to Terrance and Sharon (Nielsen) Diggins. At age 56 Douglas entered into rest on March 31, 2023 in Omaha, Nebraska peacefully in his home surrounded by family. He had lost his battle to cancer.

Doug worked most of his life as a mechanic, but was so talented at just about anything. He was always a phone call away. Whether it was plumbing, roofing, siding, towing, planting, snow removal, construction, the list goes on...He loved camping, canoeing, the mountains, and rivers and just loved being outdoors. But his biggest talent was to not just make you smile, but to laugh.

Doug was preceded in death by his father Terrance; mother Sharon; brother Adam; and grandparents.

He is survived by brothers Terrance Jr. (Donna), Eric (Kristy); sister Shaylene (John); children Nicole, Jason (Kayla), Jessica, Michaela (Rakim), Ashly, and Collin; best friend and mother to 5 of his children Lori.

Doug was also grandpa to Jayden, Jayonna, Jaycion, Jayla, Ka'Miyah, Ava, Claire, and Emma. he also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and countless close friends.

The past two weeks have shown us just how many lives he touched.
