Duane Edward Thompson passed away July 1, 2025 in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 93 years. He was born June 22, 1932 in Omaha.
Duane started working at Omaha Public Power District in the 1950's with a career that spanned 40 years in computer programming.
Duane is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Mary Thompson; parents John and Ruth Thompson; infant brother Robert Thompson; and sister Sandra Carlson.
He is survived by his children Dee Ann (Joel) Glantz and Terry (Crystal) Thompson; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister Sonia Sibert; and nieces, nephews, and other family.
