Earlene Brittingham

January 4, 1953 — January 3, 2025

The love of our mother cannot be measured by a scale of life; rather to be found within the foundation she built and created like an impenetrable force. She vowed to keep our life lessons on the right path where integrity, honor, love and faith were our cornerstones. Our mother sowed immense measures of care into our day to day lives that as adults we can now cherish and hold fond in our hearts.

One of our fondest teachings was how Mama effortlessly could take a dollar and ensure it stretched to meet the needs of us all. In addition to the aforementioned things, Mama’s culinary skills proved as profound and insatiable, to all mouths that were fortunate enough to enjoy a meal curated in her home and by her hands; from children to adults alike. Additionally, Mama’s eyes always let you know where you stood — be it bad or good —and her laugh was contagious just as her smile was.

Moreover, Mama was wise beyond her years and sharp in sight until her final transition; to include a vault of love and insurmountable insights. Above all else she loved her daughters, her grandchildren, music, books sewing and TV shows (including Anime & SouthPark).

She precedes her parents Lucille I. Mix & Will C. Fant, in sunset. In turn, she bestows the responsibility of her Legacy to her three daughters: June Catherine, Jacqueline Camille, and Jessica Cecille;

Grand(and great)children: Sherita Marie (Zy’Aire, KenYelle, Za’Khari), Jasmine Renee (Jacob), Payton Micquell, Lucas Dupree;(Serena- Layla, Luna, Lyra and unborn—July 2025), Malik Aquil (Haven, Rowan, Meadow, Lennox), LaTerra Camille (Jenesis) and Kelvin Alonzo-Maurice.

In addition to this she leaves behind her siblings, (Harold;Cynthia)(Theresa;Thomas) Cheryl, Michelle;(Ron) Lisa and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Proverbs 31:26

“She opens her mouth with wisdom and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.”
