Eddie Lee Poe

Eddie Poe, Jr., age 60, passed away in Omaha, Nebraska, on July 27, 2023. He was born October 7, 1962 to Eddie and Mary (Byrd) Poe, Sr in Scooba, MS. Eddie served in the United States Marine Corps, and was a survivor of the Beirut Marine Barracks Bombing of 1983, that killed 241 Marines. He suffered from lung cancer as a result of the Camp Leguene water contamination. He was a very loving husband to his wife, Lynnelle, of 35 years.


He was preceded in death by father, Eddie Poe, Sr.; daughter, Shawneca.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Lynnelle Poe; mother, Mary Hampton; sister, Tracy Levins; brother, Lovell Hampton; loving Auntie, Thelma; and a host of family and friends.
