Edward Lynn Drewes, a beloved father, grandfather, friend, and proud Army veteran, passed away surrounded by the love of those who cared deeply for him.
Edward was a one-of-a-kind man with a big heart and a passion for life. He loved his family deeply, especially his children and grandchildren, who meant the world to him. His greatest joy came from the time he spent with them and knowing he was loved.
Edward had a true passion for cars. Painting cars was not just a job to him - it was something he loved and took great pride in. He had a talent for bringing vehicles back to life and found happiness in the work of his hands. Anyone who knew him knew cars were a huge part of who he was.
He was a man who believed in helping others and was always willing to lend a hand to someone in need. His kindness and generosity touched many lives, and he will be remembered for the people he helped and the difference he made.
Edward loved the sound of Johnny Cash, the game of pool, and the freedom of riding motorcycles. In his younger years, he was a proud biker who enjoyed the open road and the friendships that came with it. He was a true "meat and potatoes" man who enjoyed the simple things in life - good food, good music, good company, and a cold Mountain Dew (which, to Edward, was practically as important as water).
He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, laughter, and memories that will live on through his children, grandchildren, family, and friends. Though he will be deeply missed, his stories, his kindness, and the love he gave will continue to be carried on by those who knew him.
Rest peacefully, Edward. May the road ahead be open, the music be playing, and may you ride free
