Edward Kansiewicz (80), also known as "Ed" or "Eddy," passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2026 at Good Samaritan Society in Omaha, NE, under the care of Hillcrest Hospice. He was born August 18, 1946 in Providence, RI, to the late Stanley and Mary (Bartlett) Konsiwciez. While Eddy held many different jobs and lived many places throughout his life, his love for his Savior Jesus Christ and of God's word remained constant.

Eddy is survived by his three sons, Stanislaw Kansiewicz and his wife Adrienne; Keith Kansiewicz and his wife Micah; and Stephan Kansiewicz. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Jonathon and Hope; one brother, Stanley Kansiewicz and his wife Kathy; two sisters, Anna Blais and Diana Atkinson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Geraldine Urwin.

A celebration of life fellowship gathering will be held on Tuesday, October 13th, from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by a memorial service starting at 7 p.m., at First City Church, 1908 Lloyd Street, Bellevue, NE.

Close family and friends will have a private service on October 20, 2026, in Providence, RI, followed by interment at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, RI.
