Edward Paul Swanson, 65, of Clarinda, Iowa, passed away April 5, 2026, in Omaha, Nebraska, following a battle with cancer.

Born November 26, 1960, in Clarinda, Iowa, Ed was known for his kind, giving character and his passion for racing, cars and fishing.

He is survived by his children, Jeremy Paul Swanson, 42, (Andrea) of Estevan, Saskatchewan; Phillip Paul Swanson, 41, (McKinsey) of Fort Worth, Texas; and Jaime Lea Swanson, 30, (Trent) of Anamosa, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Abby, Kate, Bristol, Sidney, Everly, Truman, and Veyda; and his sister, Janene Willcoxon (Jade) of Clarinda, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Amos Weldon Swanson Jr. and Beverly Jean Swanson (Hamm); and his siblings, Cindy Renee Swanson and Donald Paul Swanson.
