With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Eldon Max Lett, who left this world peacefully on July 13, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on September 24, 1948, at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska, Eldon was a beloved husband, father, and friend.
In his free time, Eldon found joy in baking, often surprising his loved ones with delicious treats that brought warmth to any gathering. He was an avid supporter of the Nebraska Cornhuskers, passionately cheering for the team, and relished the beauty of the outdoors, finding peace in nature's tranquil embrace.
Eldon is survived by his loving wife of over 56 years, Kathy; children, Michael (Kristina) Lett, Kimberly (Michael) Shirley; grandchildren, Tony, Kayla (Zach), Ethan, Hunter, Christian; great grandchildren, Jackson, Remington, Joanna; brothers, Mark (Donna) Lett, Dennis (Sandy) Lett; sister, Judy Hrdy, daughter-in-law, Mary Lett and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends. He is preceded in death by his son, Richard "Rick" Lett; parents, Max and Mary Irene Lett; brother, Danny Lett; sisters, Mary McCoy and Genevive Tangeman.
Eldon Max Lett will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the joy he brought to those around him. May we honor his spirit by carrying forward the love and compassion he shared so freely.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2026 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home - 90th Chapel. The visitation will be from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM followed by a reception in the Good Shepherd Reception Hall.
