Eligio Covarrubias Martinez

Eligio Covarrubias Martinez, age 50, passed away peacefully in Omaha, Nebraska, on June 9, 2021. He was born November 25, 1970 to Eligio Covarrubias and Elsa Martinez in Torrance, CA. Eligio lived in East LA the beginning of his life until moving to Omaha in when he was 20 years old. Eligio enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his nieces and nephews . He loved being adventurous, traveling around the states. He loved taking his nephews and nieces to Disney. Eligio enjoyed spending time at the zoo with his grandson. He was a very generous person, who would do anything for anyone.


He was preceded in death by his father.

Eligio is survived by his daughter Keiana (Miles) Werner; grandchildren Liam and Emma Werner; sisters Rosa Covarrubias and Julie Garrido; mother Elsa Martinez; nieces and nephews Naomi Garrido, Eyli Garrido, Joshua D. Garrido, Joel E. Hernandez, Vienay Hernandez, Jose I. Hernandez, Vanity K. Vasquez, Ricardo Araiza, Bianca Araiza, and Ernesto Araiza.



Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 PM at Good Shepherd Funeral Home's L Street Chapel, on Monday, June 14, 2021. Burial will follow at Cedardale Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
