Gayland Drake Sr. was born to Joseph E. Drake II and Mae D. Drake on August 8, 1964 in Omaha, Nebraska. On January 26, 2026, at the age of 61, with his loving wife by his bedside he departed this earthly realm.
Gayland was preceded in death by his father Joseph E. Drake II; mother Mae D. Drake; brothers Joseph E. Drake III and Keith E. Drake; sister Traci Drake-McGaugh and Tammy Morris; niece Tara R. Drake; and nephew Clarence Thomas.
He leaves to mourn his loving wife, Lisa and son, Gayland M. Drake Jr; two sisters Tina Curry (Fulton) and Tasha Chisem (Sonnie); four brothers: Billy, Kirk, Robert, and Ronald Drake and a host of relatives and friends.
