George Michael Buck, affectionately known as Booman, was born on July 4, 1989, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Michael Buck and Corice Lee.
George will be remembered for his radiant, contagious smile, unique sense of style, unwavering confidence, resilience, infectious humor, and warm, friendly spirit. He dedicated himself to supporting those he loved and was deeply committed to his family and community, volunteering at various local events whenever the opportunity arose.
Inspired by his personal experiences, especially his mother’s battle with cancer, George aspired to create a service aimed at supporting cancer patients. He also felt a strong calling to educate children about the dangers of street life, drawing from his own life experiences. His passion for these causes highlighted his profound compassion and desire to effect positive change in the world. Making the most of his circumstances, George earned his GED and enrolled in college courses in early 2024.
Above all, George was a devoted and engaged father. He cherished every moment spent with his children, always prioritizing their needs. Even while facing his own illness, George's strength and resilience shone through. He remained focused on his family, ensuring their well-being. He battled cancer with incredible courage and determination, embodying the spirit of a true warrior.
George’s life was a testament to the power of love and the impact one person can have on the lives of many. His legacy lives on, not only in the memories he created but also in the values he instilled in his children and the community he served.
His friends and family remember the joy he brought into their lives, his unwavering support, and his ability to find humor even in the darkest times. George's laughter was a melody that could light up any room, and his generosity knew no bounds. Whether through a kind word or a helping hand, George was always there.
As his children grow, they carry forward the lessons their father imparted: the importance of kindness, the strength found in unity, and the courage to dream big. George's influence will continue to guide them, helping them navigate the world with the same grace and determination he demonstrated every day.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Corice Lee; his grandparents, George and Mary Lee; great-grandmother Mama Katy; and aunts and uncles, including Dorothy Bass, Rose Hellen Lee, Rose Ellen Cocklin, Linda Faye Lee, Vanessa Gregory, Stephanie Atkins, Howard Bland, and William Bland.
He leaves behind cherished memories for his children: Ga'Carr Partee, George Buck Jr., Carter Buck, Cali Buck, Malik Buck, Makye Buck, and Jordan Buck; his father, Michael Buck; sisters, Nicole Lee, Fantaysa Tucker, and Michaelynn Buck; brother, Howard Lee; and a host of loving family and friends. He was deeply loved by so many, and his legacy is one of love, laughter, kindness, and resilience. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched.
