Georgia Lynne Jones-Munsey

Georgia Lynne Jones-Munsey, age 71, passed away on July 14, 2026, in Manassas, Virginia.

Born and raised in Omaha, NE, Georgia is survived by her husband David (Cornell) Munsey; children from a previous marriage; sons Clarance Jr. (wife Laura) and Patrick; her daughter Alisa (Shaun) Jones; and grandchildren, Anthony, Mary, Corey, Sean. Additionally, she leaves behind many beloved brothers and sisters, along with countless family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

Georgia was an amazing and strong woman who was always willing to share her stories and wisdom with others. She was a great friend and a mom to those who needed it. She was always welcoming and willing to help out family and friends with whatever she could.

Georgia was determined to build a solid life for her family. She was a devoted military wife, making any house into a home no matter where her family was stationed. Setting the example of what you could accomplish with hard work and dedication, she achieved her B.A. in Accounting from Bellevue University while raising a family. She then went on to obtain her CPA, CISA, CRISC, CIA and CITP certifications.

Georgia will be forever loved and missed. Her kindness and guidance will carry on within those whose lives she touched.

Services will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Good Shepherd Funeral Home- 90th Chapel. Visitation from 12:00 - 1:00 PM with Funeral Service at 1:00 PM. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Omaha, Nebraska.
