Giovanni was predeceased by Miguel Bethencourt and Osman Padron. He is survived by his mother Edith Cayama, brother Miguel Bethencourt, sisters Yajaira Padron, Lorena Padron, Rusadil Padron, Milagros Bethencourt, his 13 niece and nephew, 15 great-nephew and great-niece.
