Glenda S. Nagunst

Glenda Sheri Nagunst, age 40, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, passed away on July 13th, 2025, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital after battling an unidentified illness. Born on May 4, 1985, in Phoenix, Arizona, Glenda lived a life marked by deep faith, compassion, and generosity.

A devoted Christian, Glenda was a long-time member of Crossroads Christian Church and one of her life's more treasured experiences was being a dedicated student of IHOP Ministries. Her love for Jesus was evident in every aspect of her life. She had a special place in her heart for the many children she cared for, music she shared with friends and family, as well as her love of many forms of artwork which she created with such beauty and skill. She shared her joy and kindness freely with everyone she met.

Glenda was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Debra Nagunst; her grandparents, Floyd and Glenny Nagunst, Larry Helle, and Derwin and Sherry Almon.

She is survived by her father, Ricky Nagunst; her brothers, Richard Nagunst (Brandy Valyer) and children Ashley, Makayla, Dylan, Emileigh, Brady, and James. Adam Nagunst (wife Maggie) and children Josh, Breanna, and Ciarra. Her sister, Shantelle Earlywine (husband David) and children Aeneas, Saga, Anya, Eion, and Evie. She is also survived by five great nieces and nephews as well and many cherished extended family members and treasured friends.

Her life will be honored at a memorial service on Wednesday, July 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at Crossroads Christian Church, with a reception to follow. All who knew and loved Glenda are welcome to attend her memorial service and celebrate the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.

Though she endured much, Glenda is now at peace, embraced by the love of her Savior.
