Herbert "Herb" Melvin Douglas, Sr, died peacefully at CHI Immanuel on April 24, 2017 in Omaha, NE at the age of 68. Herb Douglas was born September 12, 1948 in Red Bank, NJ.

On September 22, 1975 he joined the U.S. Air Force and served until his retirement from Offutt Air Force Base on August 31, 1992.

Herb was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Marcus Douglas of Stockton, MD; son, Herbert Melvin Douglas, Jr. of Henderson, NV; and brothers and sisters.

Herb is survived by his mother, Juanita (Douglas) Williams of Clovis, NM; daughters, Gloria and Angela Douglas of Las Vegas, NV; sons, Damon and Raymond Douglas of Omaha, NE; 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; and a host of brothers and sisters.
