James was preceded in death by sister Ruth Williams-Franklin; mother Elsie Mae McDaniel; sister Jean Dalton; and father Elisha McDaniel.
He leaves to cherish his memories his siblings Elisha (Nan) Keith-McDaniel, Midge Franklin, LaRhonda McDaniel, Mark McDaniel; children Jounte (Derica) McDaniel, Brandon McDaniel, and Shaneen McDaniel; grandchildren Cierra, Anaya, Peyton, Skyla, Brandon Jr., Mack, Jay, Korian, and Kairo.
