James McLaurine Sr.

James Alan McLaurine Sr. was born on April 29, 1959 in Springfield, Massachusetts to Robert Lee Sr. and Shirley (DeLespine) McLaurine. James passed away on March 29, 2024 in Omaha, Nebraska.

James loved fishing, cooking, playing guitar and drums. He loved Jazz and R&B music. James worked with his dad at a restaurant as a cook. James did service in the United States Navy. He also likes camping and getting ice cream. Most important, James loved spending time with his family. As he got closer to the end of his life James did get closer to God. 

Survived by children Jason Harrison, James McLaurine Jr., Julian McLaurine, Jamie McLaurine, Ebony, and Michaela; spouse; siblings Marcus (Miyuki), Sheila Bolden, Joni, Leslie (Johnny), Shirl; grandchildren Tyrell, Zrina, Jayla; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.

Preceded in death by parents Robert Lee Sr. and Shirley McLaurine; son Jordan Harrison; and brother Robert McLaurine Jr.
