Janice "GG" Evelyn Mumma

Janice "GG" Evelyn Mumma, beloved mother and friend, passed away on April 27, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on July 15, 1949, in Omaha, Nebraska, Janice brightened the lives of many during her time with us. She was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, embodying warmth and generosity that knew no bounds.

Janice attended Omaha North High School and married the love of her life, Carl Mumma, on April 11, 1969, in Nebraska City, Nebraska. Together, they raised three children: Pati, Craig, and Connie. Janice found great joy in her family and cherished every moment spent with them. Her home was always filled with laughter, love, and an open door for friends and family alike-no one was ever a stranger to Janice.

Janice dedicated over 20 years of her life as a housekeeper at The Ramada Inn, where her hard work and fiery spirit left a lasting impression. In her free time, she enjoyed visiting the casino, playing bingo, and passionately cheering for her favorite football teams.

Janice's memory will be honored on Friday, May 1, 2026 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home - L Street Chapel. The visitation will take place at 1:30 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:30 PM. A reception will follow in the Good Shepherd Reception Hall.

GG is survived by her beloved daughters, Pati Mumma and Connie (Michael) Mayer; grandchildren, Alonzo, Jaren, Allison, Dominick, Morgan, Elijah; great granddaughter, Mia (Mimi); brother, Gareth "Frankie" Robinson; daughter-in-law, Amy Mumma, a host of "bonus" children, and other loving family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Mumma; son, Craig Mumma; mother, Patricia Robinson; brothers, Michael, Phillip, Larry, Steven and sister, Nancy.

Memorials can be directed to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital in Janice's name.
