Jeff Ayala, 55, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. He was called home far too soon, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of laughter and love.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Paul Ayala; his grandparents; and his uncle, Robb Record. He is survived by his devoted mother, Rita Record Kisner, and her husband, Jim Kisner; his loving sister, Jackie Ayala Collins, and her husband, Joe Collins; his children, Dustin (Adelaide) Wallace, Dylan Spencer, Joshua Nelson, and Andrew Kozak and wife, Rae Kozak; and his niece, Jennifer Ayala Coulter, and her husband, Justin Coulter.
A proud South Omaha native, Jeff was known for his charismatic personality and infectious sense of humor—a true “Jim Carrey kind of guy” who could light up any room and was always good for a laugh. He was an energetic guitar enthusiast and a talented craftsman who built a successful home improvement business through hard work and dedication. Jeff’s creativity and passion touched everyone who knew him, and his circle of friends from the neighborhood will remember him fondly as a loyal friend and a man full of life.
Jeff’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will forever treasure his laughter, kindness, and unwavering spirit.
