Jerry Gills

Jerry Lee Gills, 70, passed away on September 18th, 2024, in Omaha, NE. Born on July 5th, 1954, in Omaha, NE. Jerry was a beloved father, brother, grandfather, Uncle, and Friend to many. Jerry leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.

Jerry Lee Gills was the eldest born child to Erma and Enish Gills Jr. Jerry attended Horacemann and later attended Technical High School and Dominican High in 1973, where he graduated before enlisting into the United States Navy. Jerry moved around to many cities before deciding to settle down in Omaha, NE.

Jerry was preceded in death by his mother Erma, father Enish, step father James, brother Enish Gills III, sister Mary Ellen, grandmothers Dora Lee Saddler & Henrietta Cook, grandfathers Enish Gills Sr., & Coyle Permetter.

Jerry leaves behind children (Aaron & Shawntrese), a host of siblings, grandchildren, Jonquez, Dyamund, Tre’Von, Rae’Vean, and Rae’Mon, nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Jerry was known for his dedication as the Vice President of Human Resources Manager at Norwestern Bank in Minnesota. In the early 2000’s, Jerry owned and operated PaPa G’s Showcase, where he brought tons of talent to the city of Omaha.

Jerry will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
